Inspector’s Report

The Inspector’s Report, following the W.S. E.-M.L.L. (Whole School Evaluation – Management Leadership Learning), can be accessed under the “for parents” tab on the school’s website and there is also a link on the school’s Facebook page. The findings from the parent and pupil questionnaires can also be seen on the website and Facebook.

Sacramental Ceremonies

The First Holy Communion and Confirmation ceremonies took place this month. The three ceremonies went very smoothly and I’d like to acknowledge the excellent work of the teachers, Áine Breen and Bobby Cummings, who prepared the children so well. Thank you also to the members of the school choir who sang so beautifully each day. Their singing greatly enhanced the ceremonies.

School Closure

Monday 5th June is a Public Holiday and the school will be closed on that day.

Parent Association School Uniform Sale

The school’s Parent Association will be organising a school uniform sale next month. If your child has outgrown the school jumper, cardigan, shirt, trousers or skirt you can donate the items to the school uniform sale. Members of the Parent Association will be in Room 5 to accept donated items on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th June from 1.30 to 3.00. The school uniform sale will take place the following week, Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th June, in Room 5 between 1.30 and 3.00. School jumpers and cardigans will cost €5 and other uniform items will be sold for €1. The money raised will be added to the Parent Association’s fund which will be used to purchase books for the school.

Facebook

A reminder to check out the school’s Facebook page where you will see pictures of the various activities that are taking place in the school.

School Reports

The end-of-year School Reports will be posted on Friday 16th June. We would appreciate receiving an addressed envelope with a €1 stamp.

School Uniform

When we return to school after the long weekend on Tuesday 6th June the children will not have to wear their school uniforms for the remainder of the school year. It is more comfortable for them to wear lighter clothes in the warmer weather. However, as we know the weather can change. Please ensure that the children dress suitably, depending on the weather conditions.

Pupils Leaving

At the end of every school year a small number of our pupils leave the school to attend another primary school. If you know that your child won’t be with us in September 2017 and haven’t informed us already, we would appreciate being told in advance to assist with our planning.
