GREENDAY
Bullet
in a Bible Greenday
released the album American Idiot last year, which was a best-selling album.
They won a Grammy and two MTV awards. It was a good year for Greenday. In the
summer they played probably the biggest punk rock gig ever at Milton Keynes
playing for 65,000 people. This legendary event was caught on DVD and CD. It was
named Bullet in a Bible. It is not anti–religious but anti-war. While Greenday
were in England they went to a war museum, there they saw a bible with a bullet
rammed through the pages. The DVD comes with the CD. The DVD is very
entertaining with footage of them playing and in between songs there is
exclusive interviews which are actually quite funny. The CD is good but the DVD
is better. Includes the songs Holiday, American Idiot and St.Jimmy. I’d give
the DVD ten out of ten and CD nine out of ten A must have for all Greenday fans.
Rock on. Review by Kevin

Valda Valda is an acapella chamber choir of eight which is based in Wexford and was set up in 1998. Their members are Eleanor Furlong, Liz Murphy, Louise Malone, Liz McGuinness, Shane O’Donnell, Robbie Fitzpatrick, Pat Jackman and Donagh Wylde, who is also the director. They have won many awards with their mix of styles including spiritual, jazz and sacred music. Their greatest success to date was their victory in the XVI Concorso Internazionale Di Canto Corale competition in Verona, Italy, also achieving the first Irish gold standard. The album itself was released last November and contains 11 tracks. It is available in White’s music shop. Their album contains all of their songs including ‘Blue Moon’, ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ and ‘Africa’. Pat Jackman, a member of the group mixed the CD in a studio in Westmeath. Adults who enjoy good harmonies and melodies will love this CD. By Jack Jackman (6th class) |

The
Best Air Guitar Album………Ever There
are three Air Guitar Albums so far, but this is the big one. It has lots of
great songs to play on your imaginary axe. The
songs on this 3 disc CD include: Song 2, Crazy Crazy Nights, All Right Now and
Money. Its worth buying and offers a variety of different genres. So
put it in the CD, turn it up full blast and get ready to rock. (Air guitar not
included.) Review by Kevin O’Donnell (6th Class)
