“They didn’t play their best, but I still think they’ll beat France next week, by 2 points.”

“I thought that Italy were very good, and that Ireland weren’t too good.  They can certainly play a lot better than they did.  I hope!”

“I thought it was a brilliant game.  Brian O’Driscoll played well.  It was good to see him back playing for Ireland again.  I didn’t think Italy would be as good as they were.  I think Ireland will beat France next Saturday.”

“I thought Ireland played very badly in it.  They were under pressure for the whole match.  I think that Brian O’Driscoll was lucky to stay on the field because he was stamping on an Italian player.  They won’t have a chance against the French.”

2. How do you think the..... ?

“The hurlers will make it to the Leinster final.  The footballers will make it to the Leinster semi-final.  They’ll be beaten in that and go through the back door.”

“The hurlers will make it to the All-Ireland semi-final.  The footballers won’t do too well I think.”

“The hurlers will make the Leinster semis at least.  The footballers will get beaten in the Leinster final.  They won’t go very far after that either.”

“The hurling team will at least make the Leinster final.  The footballers are no good!”
